Wine Spectator magazine has honored four restaurants at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood for their outstanding wine selections. Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Cipresso, Fire Grill, and Kuro have all received accolades in the prestigious 2024 Restaurant Awards.
Council Oak Steaks & Seafood Achieves Best of Award of Excellence
Council Oak Steaks & Seafood earned the Best of Award of Excellence for the second consecutive year. This accolade is given to restaurants with thoughtfully curated wine lists that feature high-quality producers and align with their menu’s style and pricing. The other three establishments received the Award of Excellence, highlighting their commitment to fine wine.
A Legacy of Wine Recognition
The Seminole Tribe of Florida operates six of Florida’s eight casinos, including the flagship Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, while the Miccosukee Tribe oversees the remaining two. Although Florida has yet to legalize online casinos, residents can still engage in online gaming through sweepstakes and social casinos.

The awards program, which began in 1981, aims to promote wine appreciation, provide education, and recognize restaurants that prioritize wine. According to Wine Spectator Editor Marvin R. Shanken, many awarded restaurants feature extensive wine lists, with some offering triple-digit options.
“The Best of Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants that go beyond standard offerings, with staff training and wine-centric events,” Shanken noted. With the restaurant industry thriving again, restaurateurs are reinvesting in their wine programs to capitalize on the current growth.
