The online lottery courier service, theLotter, is preparing to launch in Florida, marking its debut in the Sunshine State. With theLotter’s app, lottery players will be able to purchase tickets online, offering convenience and ease of use. Once purchased, the tickets are stored in the user’s account. Yael Hertz, CEO of theLotter, expressed excitement about the expansion, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring our services to Florida. This launch is a significant milestone for us, and we’re proud to offer a new level of convenience for lottery customers.”
TheLotter began its U.S. operations in Texas in 2020 and has since expanded to five other states, including New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, and Oregon. Florida will be the latest addition to its growing list of markets. The company allows users to view their tickets online, receive scanned copies, and claim their winnings via the app, adding a new layer of transparency and ease to the lottery experience.
Lottery Courier Services Compete in Growing Market
With its upcoming launch in Florida, theLotter enters a competitive field of online lottery couriers. Other companies like Jackpot.com, Lotto.com, and Jackpocket are also active in the U.S. market. Jackpocket recently made headlines when DraftKings acquired the company for $750 million. Despite the competition, theLotter’s expansion reflects the growing demand for online lottery services.
The Florida Lottery, one of the most successful in the U.S., does not currently sell tickets online, which gives theLotter an edge by offering an easier way for players to participate. Florida’s lottery has generated nearly $50 billion in tax revenue since its launch in 1988, supporting educational programs, including the Bright Futures Scholarship. The introduction of an online courier could increase participation and contribute even more to state funds, enhancing educational and other community programs.
